Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is very similar to drop shipping in the way that you are selling a physical product or software without even touching the product itself. The difference between drop shipping and affiliate marketing is that the customer that you market to will usually purchase the product directly from the supplier but with a link that gives you credit for the sale. If you have ever watched a YouTube video that has a paid sponsor, for example a lot of times the link they will drop in the description will be an affiliate link with some kind of phrase in the link that ties them to that sale. A very common product that is sold with affiliate links is VPNs which you may have seen before. You can go through the marketing tips for drop shipping and completely apply it to affiliate marketing. For that reason, we will not be going over marketing in this section in too much detail but rather focusing on the small differences between the two. Instead, we will focus more on how to find good products for affiliate marketing and how to get set up with an affiliate marketing program.
The first step to getting started with affiliate marketing is to get set up with a service like clickbank.com that connects you to products that offer affiliate programs. This is the biggest affiliate site in the world by a long shot and that is for a good reason. It is like the amazon of affiliate marketing and so I recommend using this site for finding affiliate programs that work for you. Clickbank.com will give you a list of thousands of products that you can get links for and start selling for immediately once you have created an account. It is very easy to get started with but the harder part is finding profitable products that you can market well.
In order to find what products are good to sell most people will look at what is called the gravity score for each product on clickbank.com. Sorting products by gravity score shows us how many people are selling that product successfully with their affiliate links. This is certainly a good way to start looking for products that can be good to sell but it can also lead you to saturated markets and keep you from picking other products that have more potential. It also does not give you an idea of the conversion rates for advertising those products, which is something you want to be aware of. A better way to find good products on click bank is to go to clickbank.com/blog where you can see the top ten products from the past month that have been researched by clickbank.com. This blog goes over better analytics on these products like the Earnings Per Click or EPC. You do not get paid for your link just getting clicked but it is a good indicator to show what your conversion rates might be for marketing a product. Knowing how much you will pay in advertising to get someone to click on your link and how much you will make per click can give you the keys to a winning product and ad and allow you to scale to higher volumes and big profits.
Another free tool you can use to find good affiliate products on click bank is a site called cbsnooper.com. This site can show you trending products that are on the rise as well as show you some of the high gravity products that are on the decline which you may want to stay away from. Be sure to check this site before deciding on what product you will sell.
The last tool we will talk about is a paid tool that costs about $200 a month but can potentially save you a fortune in wasted ad spend. This tool is called adplexity.com and it will allow you to search for products that you are looking at potentially selling on click bank and see all of the advertisements that people are running for that affiliate link across the world. On top of showing you the ads that people are running that you could potentially copy and use yourself, it also shows you if they have been scaling that ad and seeing success with it! This tool can literally give you the answers to affiliate marketing in a sense and allow you to see what is working for successful affiliate marketers around the world.
Now that you have all the tools you need to find a great product for affiliate marketing it is time to create some ads and start spreading your link throughout the internet. Just like with drop shipping, the best first step to take is to create 2accounts on Tik-Tok, Instagram and Facebook so that you can get your ads seen for free as many times as possible in the form of short video content. Use the same practice of creating at least 3 videos each day and posting them all to every one of your social accounts. For Facebook and Instagram, you should be focused on posting them as reels so that people scrolling through videos can see them. Make sure to have a call to action telling the viewers about the affiliate link that is in your bio somewhere in your videos. If you do this consistently you will start to see some traction with some of your ads and then you can use those as your first paid ads that you can scale with.
Once you have some videos that have shown they can produce sales for your affiliate links you can begin paying for ads on Facebook, Instagram, Tik-Tok and Google just like we talked about in the drop shipping section. Just remember that it is always smart to start with a small daily budget so that you can see which ads are converting well and start scaling those ads.
Another important way to market affiliate links is by creating a YouTube channel to promote your links. We talked about this in our drop shipping section as well so be sure to read more details about marketing products on YouTube in that section. Also be sure to read our section on becoming a YouTuber as well in order to get all the ins and outs of starting a successful channel.
One creative form of marketing that pertains specifically to affiliate marketing is creating blog posts that are related to your affiliate products that can direct people to your link. The amazing thing about writing blog posts nowadays is that you can use ai to do it for you. They are not as detailed as a human’s writing might be, but they can be very effective when done in volume and they take almost no time to create with software like Chat GPT and Any Word. Once you give the AI a topic to write about related to your product, you can then take that blog post it gives you and post it to blog sites like reddit.com, vocal.media, or medium.com. You can add your affiliate link to your article that the ai created and if you do this process multiple times a day you should start to see some sales going through on your affiliate partner’s site!
