Being Someone You'd Want to be Around

It is important to always remember that friendship is a give and take relationship. If you are always using time and taking from someone else without providing some value to them as a friend then they will not want to be around you for very long. Always take some time to evaluate if you are bringing value to the life of a friend that you care about. The more that you are there for and support a good friend, the more they will be willing to do for you. It seems very basic but I have distanced myself from some people simply because it is always me taking care of the bill or helping them out when I am not even really shown any non-monetary value to me. Simply make sure you are being someone that you would want to be around as the section states. If that answer is no then you need to try and add more value to your friendship however you can. Of course if someone else comes to mind when you are reading these examples then try to at least distance yourself from these people a bit. It can add a lot of stress to your life and you are better off spending time with people who value you and your time.
