Getting Up in the Morning
Getting up in the morning had always been the hardest part of the day for me as I have certainly not been a morning person in the past. However, waking up quickly and more importantly with a morning routine is important to becoming a happier more productive version of yourself.
One of the best habits that I have developed to become more of a morning person is taking time to plan out exactly what my morning will look like the night before. It is very easy to remain in bed when you don’t even know what you are going to do when you wake up. Start with some simple habits like turning off your alarm the first time it goes off and making your bed immediately so you can’t jump back under the covers so easily. Then you can hop in the shower, brush your teeth, make breakfast, go to the gym or whatever you wish to be part of your morning routine. It is important to have down to a t what things you will do in what order once you wake up and once you have done them for about 90 days it will simply become second nature to you and the mornings won’t seem so rough.
The other part of planning your mornings, as I said before, is knowing what tasks you will do once you have gotten ready for your day. Without knowing this it may be hard to even get past the morning routine because you feel there is no reason to. Plan your day the night before so you have your goals and tasks in mind. Give yourself a reason to wake up each morning and your mind and happiness will thank you for it.
