Knowing When to Move On

Whether you are in a difficult situation in business or a hard time in a relationship there may come a time when you are better off moving on than dealing with the problems they present. If you are in a relationship where someone has been disloyal or abusive for instance, you are most likely better off moving on and planning for a future without this person than trying to “deal with the problem”. If you are in business with someone that has proven to be dishonest you may want to separate from that person or business. Take a moment to think about what you could lose by continuing to deal with a problem rather than stepping away. If the potential losses of your money, time or sanity are too much to deal with when facing a problem then the best thing is probably to move on. It also can help immensely to get an outside perspective on our problems from people that care and want to see us succeed for this reason. Sometimes we can end up digging ourselves into much bigger holes than we were in just by spending too much time or energy on a problem.
