Everybody has heard the saying that you are who you surround yourself with. I honestly don’t believe this to always be the case but I will say the message is very effective. If you wish to be successful, you are much better off surrounding yourself with or at least reaching out to and introducing yourself to successful people you do know. Most of us are much nicer than you may think. You would be surprised to see who will be willing to help, especially when you take advantage of the law of RECIPROCATION. If you do even the smallest thing for someone successful or even OFFER to in most cases, they will want to help you and it may lead to you making friends that are invaluable in the long term. Most successful people do not receive many favors, it is usually others expecting things from them. So if you can offer help, a bit of free work, a lunch on you, send a gift that you think they would like, it can mean the world to some.

 

Reach out to someone successful in the field you wish to get into. Send them something small or offer to help them with the business. Above all be genuine, tell them you have respect for them and want to do what they do one day. A simple gesture can open so many doors for you in life.
