TikTok Marketing
Tik-Tok has become an amazing way to get your business seen by new people all around the world. In this section we will go over step by step how you can use Tik-Tok to grow a community and scale your business from the ground up.
The name of the game when it comes to marketing with Tik-Tok is volume and consistency. The thing that is important to know about Tik-Tok is how their algorithm works so you can see how putting out a lot of content will significantly increase your chances of being seen. Tik-Tok works by showing the short videos that you post to a few people starting out to see how they will react. It may show your content to 10 people to start and if 5 people like your video then it will show the video to another 20 people to see how they react. This process is repeated over and over with this level system until the interactions don’t surpass the requirement to be shown to more people. Understanding this should give you an idea of how releasing content in volume can exponentially increase your chances of blowing up on Tik-Tok. It is all it takes to grow your business to levels you never thought possible is one viral video and if you put out content everyday it is almost certain to happen eventually.
The first thing you will want to do when starting to market your business with Tik-Tok, is to create one main account for your business that has the highest quality content about your brand and then one other account that you can post more frequently widening your reach. I might make one Black Sheep Project official page and one called Black Sheep Project Clips or something like that. I also recommend paying some people to repost clips of your content. You can find people to create new accounts for you to get your project seen by an exponential amount of people for cheap or you can get more phones with new cell service if you make sure to keep wifi off. Just keep in mind that any more than 2 accounts on the same network will get you shadow banned, restricted, or even banned in general from TikTok and using proxies is getting harder to do. Get creative with how you can get more content out to your audience. The more accounts that post content each day, the better the chance you will have of getting your brand seen and one of your videos going viral!
Once you have as many accounts posting your content as you are comfortable with, it is time to start posting some content to Tik-Tok. I suggest shooting at least 3 videos a day that you plan out in detail to post to every one of your accounts. Make sure that your videos have great openings to grab the attention of your viewers as well. With Tik-Toks you only have about a second to catch the attention of your viewers before they scroll to something else. Openings like, “Are you tired of feeling anxious and scrolling on social media all the time?” “Have you ever felt like no one gave a fuck about or or that you were all alone in this world? We have too and that’s why The Black Sheep Project is giving free courses to educate…” or “Do you have a dream project that you want to jump into but don’t know where to start?” are all great examples that both evoke emotion from a viewer and create impulse that we may use for this project. Hopefully this will give you an idea of how to start videos for your brand. The first words in your video should pretty much start right away when your video begins and that first sentence should intrigue interest in your viewer immediately. In summary make sure to post content every day on all your accounts and make sure the content draws interest instantly. If you do this consistently you will be sure to have a viral video before you know it.
Another great way to increase the reach of your account is interacting with other people’s accounts. Posting comments, liking other people’s videos, following accounts and messaging people to collab with are all great ways that you can grow your account and business as well. If you show love to other people’s content they are likely to show love back and you can use this to your advantage in order to increase the number of followers you have. You should spend a bit of time each day simply commenting on liking and following other accounts. Once you are following a bunch of people and have started to see some people following you back you can then begin to unfollow some people to make sure that you have a good ratio. Also be sure to take note of accounts that you may be able to use for a sponsored post as you scroll so that you can message them directly later. Using other influencers that have followings with your target customers can be an amazing way to show off your products when done effectively. You may even be able to get sponsored posts for free by offering them your product or service for free to try out.
Once you have some social proof on TikTok you should also test out some of their paid advertising services. You can pay to boost your normal posts which won’t get you many direct buys but can be worth it to grow your account and gain overall exposure. You can also do paid ads on TikTok with links to sell in the TikTok Shop or send them to your own site. Don’t be afraid to do some AB testing with these options and scale with the videos or ads that perform the best.
Last but certainly not least, make sure to take advantage of TikTok LIVE! If you are doing something even slightly interesting and you have a bit of personality or even can hire someone with great energy you can hop on live and answer questions, hold giveaways, live auctions and so much more. Once you have 1,000 followers this feature will be turned on and at that point it’s also a great way to interact with those people following you, take feedback or just get closer with your potential customers. If you have a product you are selling you can even put it on the TikTok Shop and market it on live or with videos as well
Whatever you end up doing on Tik-Tok make sure you are posting content consistently every day on multiple accounts. This is the most important thing you can do to get your brand in front of potential customers. Also, be sure to have a clear call to action with each of your videos so that your viewers know where to go to purchase your product or service. Once you have 1,000 followers on Tik-Tok you can also add a link to your bio so that people can get directly to your site from your profile. Tik-Tok can take a bit of time to grow but when compared to other social media platforms it is the easiest way to go viral quickly when you stay consistent.
