Types of Cardio

Keep in mind that anything that gets your heart rate pumping is considered cardio and is healthy for your body in responsible increments. One of my favorite forms of cardio personally is Stairmaster sprints, doing increments of 100 steps at the highest speed. But you can also do jumping jacks or run around the neighborhood. You can even super set your weight lifting circuits without much rest to get your heart rate up to achieve cardio while lifting. You can go for a bike ride, run on the treadmill or even jog in place. The important thing is that you get that heart pumping and try to track the amount of calories you are burning. If you are running there are apps to keep track of your calories burned. If you are on a machine at the gym, they will typically tell you approximately how many calories you have burned at any given time, so in today’s day and age there is not much cardio that you can do where you are unable to track your burned calories. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and burn some fat!
