To be honest I operate my twitter account almost identically to the way I operate my Instagram account. For the most part you can post the same content on both of these profiles while once in a while offering a giveaway or promotion specific to one or the other in order to keep people paying attention to both. This section will touch on the differences between Instagram and Twitter when it comes to growing a profile and securing customers. I would mostly read over the Instagram tutorial and you can apply pretty much all of those steps and tips to the twitter platform as well.
Different Marketing Opportunities on Twitter- The one thing that stands out about twitter to me is the ability to pin important posts to the top of a profile. This allows for great results in giveaways, promotions and partnerships if you can negotiate a good price on a pinned post. If you have a big giveaway or event that is coming up pinning a post on twitter and getting some eyes on your profile by commenting on other posts, liking other profiles posts, and doing partnerships can give you better results in some cases than advertising on other platforms. I have used twitter for many partnerships and giveaways and the results are usually pretty good because I always pay to have my sponsors pin my post for a day or two. You do not have to pay too much more in most cases and you can get a lot of bang for your buck this way.
As always, with Twitter, remember to copy the industry leaders. If you wish to become more acquainted with some of the minor differences between Twitter and other social media profiles be sure to look at what the best companies in your industry are doing on twitter as well as what the top followed brands on twitter in general are doing. You should just do this for every social media site you set up.
